ACCCJ PhD Student & Early Career Workshop

Call for Submissions

Dear Colleagues,

The ACCCJ is pleased to invite submissions for the 2nd Annual PhD Student & Early Career Workshop. This workshop provides a platform for PhD students and early career researchers working on topics related to crime, criminology, and criminal justice in Greater China (Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau) to present their research and engage in constructive discussions with peers and established scholars. Selected papers may be considered for inclusion in the ACCCJ Research Bulletin.

Eligibility:
1 PhD students in social sciences, humanities, and related disciplines. Early career researchers who obtained their highest degree after 1 June 2018 (consideration will be given to those with career breaks).
2 Must be an ACCCJ member at the time of submission.

Submission Guidelines:
Abstracts (max. 300 words) & CV due: 1 May 2025
The abstract should outline the research background, key questions, methods, data sources, findings, and contribution to the field.

Key Dates:
Successful applicants will be notified by 15 May 2025.
Full papers (8,000-10,000 words) due: 1 August 2025
Workshop date: Late August 2025 (online streaming available)
